Shadow Protocol lands 27 Oct: price, editions and pre-order value

Xbox · €69.99 at launch. What launch week looks like and whether a Xbox card covers it.

Keeoto Editorial4 Oct 20263 min read

A gift card code is a promise printed as text. Behind the sixteen characters sits a ledger entry at the issuer, and everything between a seller uploading the code and you redeeming it is about keeping that promise intact.

Where a code comes from

Issuers mint codes in batches and hand them to distributors. A distributor sells at retail or passes them down to smaller resellers. By the time a code reaches a marketplace like ours, it may have travelled through three or four hands.

That chain is why provenance matters. A verified seller on Keeoto has shown us where their stock comes from, so a code that arrives in your inbox is one we can trace back if something goes wrong.

What instant delivery actually means

When you pay, the code is released from the seller’s inventory into your order. No person reads it out. The step that takes time is payment confirmation, and card payments confirm faster than bank transfers.

The code is revealed on the order page, never in the email.
🔒
Codes are shown once, on purpose
We reveal the code inside your order page, not in the confirmation email. Email travels through servers we do not control. Your order page does not.

Why a valid code can still fail

Most failed redemptions are not fraud. They are mismatches.

01
Region lock. The card was issued for one storefront and you are redeeming on another. Check the region badge on the listing before you buy.
02
Currency mismatch. Your account wallet is in one currency, the card in another. Most platforms refuse rather than convert.
03
Platform confusion. A subscription code is not a wallet top-up, and a console code is not a PC code, even from the same publisher.
⚠️
Never test a code on a third-party checker
Balance checkers outside the issuer are the fastest way to have a code stolen. If you want to verify, redeem it.

If something goes wrong

Open the order and submit an issue. Tell us what the redemption screen said, word for word. Buyer protection covers codes that were already used or never worked, and most cases close within a day.
