Phantom Blade Zero is set to launch on PS5 and Windows PC at the end of October 2026, with official sources showing either 28 Oct or 29 Oct depending on store and region. The key thing for buyers is that this is not a contradiction: PlayStation and S-GAME frame the launch as 29 Oct, while Steam’s Europe page already shows 28 Oct, so check the unlock time in your own region before you pay.

The current official Phantom Blade Zero release date is 29 Oct 2026 on S-GAME’s site and in PlayStation’s launch messaging. That replaced the older 9 Sep 2026 date, which S-GAME confirmed had been moved in a creative director letter published on 2 Jun 2026.
The Phantom Blade Zero October 28 or 29 confusion comes from how stores present the same launch across time zones. PlayStation’s August 17 post says the game releases on 29 Oct, with a note that it is 28 Oct in the US and select regions, and the US PlayStation Store gives a precise unlock time of 10/29/2026 02:00 AM UTC.
Steam adds to that by showing 28 Oct 2026 on its Europe store page. In plain English, buyers should treat 29 Oct as the publisher’s official date and 28 Oct as an earlier local calendar date in some regions when the UTC unlock lands before midnight or on the previous evening.

Official Phantom Blade Zero price information is still region-specific in the sources currently available. Steam Germany lists the standard PC version at 59,99€, while the US PlayStation Store lists the standard PS5 edition at $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99. There is no verified Epic Games Store price in the material above, so check the store page before buying.
For most players, the standard edition looks like the sensible pick. The Phantom Blade Zero deluxe edition adds outfits and digital extras, but no confirmed gameplay content, and the pre-order items in the standard edition are not exclusive because S-GAME says they can also be earned through in-game progression.
S-GAME describes Phantom Blade Zero as a fusion of classic wuxia storytelling and fast action built in Unreal Engine 5. You play as Soul, a warrior with sixty-six days left to live, fighting assassins while uncovering a wider conspiracy.
Recent official PlayStation coverage gives a clearer idea of what buyers are getting beyond the pitch line. The game has more than 30 main weapons and 25 secondary weapons called Phantom Edges, which points to a lot of build and loadout variety rather than a single fixed fighting style.
Difficulty options are also confirmed. S-GAME says players can choose between Wayfarer mode, Hellwalker and Sixty-Six Days mode, which suggests the studio is trying to serve both players who want the spectacle and players who want a much tougher run.
On the PlayStation side, the official store page confirms 1 player, DualSense vibration and trigger effect support, and a PS5 Pro Enhanced label. That does not tell us how performance will compare between PS5, PS5 Pro and PC at launch, but it does give console buyers a clearer baseline than most pre-release pages do.

There is no verified early access window in the sources provided. Pre-orders are live on PS5, and official pages confirm pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store, but the available information does not show any edition unlocking the game before the standard launch.
The Phantom Blade Zero pre order bonus is the same on the official site for the standard and deluxe editions: early unlocks for the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit. S-GAME also makes the important point that these are early unlocks, not exclusive items, because both can be obtained later through normal in-game progression.
Epic has one extra promotion that matters to some PC buyers. Epic’s official FAQ says any pre-purchase or purchase of Phantom Blade Zero on the Epic Games Store grants the Soul Outfit and Sanguine Pickaxe and Back Bling in Fortnite from 11 Aug 2026 at 10 PM ET. No subscription launch offer has been verified in the official sources, so do not assume it is coming to a service on day one.
The official Phantom Blade Zero PC requirements are now live and they are not especially light. Minimum specs target 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling enabled, while recommended specs target 1440p at 60 FPS with upscaling enabled, so the published targets already assume image reconstruction rather than native rendering.
An SSD is a hard requirement on PC. Steam also confirms DirectX 12 and Windows 10 or 11 in 64-bit form, with 16 GB of RAM listed for both minimum and recommended. If you are unsure about the store side rather than the hardware side, our Steam redeem guide covers one of the common payment-and-library checks PC buyers make before launch.
What is still missing is the exact preload timing and a verified download size. The available official pages confirm SSD installation is required, but they do not provide a final file size figure in the surfaced information here, so PC buyers should watch the store pages closer to release week.

First, pick your platform based on where you want to play, not on a minor date display difference. PS5, Steam and the Epic Games Store are all confirmed for launch, and the official messaging points to the same release window even if one store says 28 Oct and another says 29 Oct.
Second, pick your edition based on whether you care about cosmetics and digital extras. The standard edition is easier to recommend because the known extras in deluxe are outfits, an artbook and a soundtrack, while the pre-order unlocks are earnable in the game anyway.
Third, check region and account details before paying. Prices currently verified are region-specific, store unlock dates can display differently by territory, and if you buy wallet credit first it is worth reading our region guide if you are topping up store funds.
On paper, Phantom Blade Zero has a strong pre-launch case if you want a single-player action game with a wuxia setting, fast melee combat and a lot of weapon variety. The standard asking price is in line with a major new release, and the standard edition is easier to justify than deluxe because the more expensive version does not currently show any must-have gameplay extras.
That said, the usual launch unknowns still matter. We cannot know yet how good the campaign feels over a full run, how well the difficulty modes are balanced, how stable the PC version is across a wide spread of hardware, or whether performance on PS5, PS5 Pro and PC holds up under launch conditions.
If you already know this is your kind of action game, standard edition on your preferred platform looks reasonable. If you are unsure about performance, or if deluxe only interests you for its cosmetics, waiting for reviews and post-launch technical testing is the smarter move.
