GTA 6 preload: PS5 and Xbox times, 212GB and code-in-box checks
Hozy brings its room-cleaning and decorating game to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 9, 2026. The important buying distinction is Xbox Play Anywhere: an eligible Xbox or Windows Store purchase covers Xbox and Windows, but that does not turn an existing Steam copy into a console license. Console prices and exact unlock hours still need confirmation in the local storefront.
The November 9 console date comes from two current primary sources: tinyBuild’s November 6 PlayStation announcement and Xbox’s November 9–13 release schedule. Steam’s March 30, 2026 date refers to the original computer release. Those dates describe different versions, so an older PC launch listing does not mean the console game is already available.
There is a separate storefront mismatch to watch. When checked on November 6, the US PlayStation Store still displayed Announced, a release date to be determined and an Add to Wishlist button. That page does not overturn the publisher’s dated announcement, but it also does not provide a usable launch countdown. No verified console unlock hour was found; do not plan around an assumed local midnight or copy a time from another country.
The publisher has also announced Nintendo Switch, but the checked sources do not establish its release day. November 9 should therefore be attached specifically to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PS4 or Xbox One version is listed in the checked console sources.
The base game is the sensible starting point unless you specifically want the music outside the game. A soundtrack purchase does not add rooms or supply a missing console license. The reviewed console announcements do not establish a Deluxe edition, paid early-access window or preorder bonus, so there is no verified reason here to pay extra for earlier play.
Hozy is a single-player game about cleaning, repainting and furnishing small spaces. Its story contains nine locations, with selected furniture sets for each room instead of an unrestricted catalogue from the start. There are no score targets or timers. That makes the appeal fairly specific: arranging and restoring a space is the activity, rather than running a business or winning a competition.
Game+ revisits completed rooms with different furniture and lighting after the main story. Sandbox provides broader decorating freedom using the game’s items. These modes also appear in the existing computer version, with the publisher’s earlier update explaining how Game+ variations and Sandbox were added. They are part of the console feature list, not evidence that console buyers receive a new exclusive campaign.
PS5 has a more concrete platform-specific addition: the publisher describes DualSense haptics, adaptive-trigger resistance when lifting floorboards and tool sounds through the controller speaker. It also lists visual and control settings such as tool-speed adjustment, camera inversion and color options. These are announced features, not a hands-on assessment of their comfort, responsiveness or accessibility for every player.
Xbox’s release schedule marks Hozy as Xbox Play Anywhere. Microsoft says eligible digital Xbox or Windows Store purchases can be played on supported Xbox consoles and Windows devices without buying the game twice. Saves, add-ons and achievements follow the same Xbox account within that system. The Xbox Store listing names Xbox Series X|S, PC and handheld, and Microsoft limits handheld support to Windows 11 gaming handhelds, so this does not cover every device carrying an Xbox app.
Steam ownership is separate, and the Play Anywhere terms do not grant a PlayStation copy. No Steam-to-console save transfer or free PS5 upgrade for existing computer owners was confirmed in the reviewed announcements. If you are returning to a partly decorated neighborhood, keep the existing save and check the destination version before assuming you can continue there.
Play Anywhere is also not a Game Pass membership benefit by itself. The official weekly entry gives Hozy the Play Anywhere label without a Game Pass label, and the checked PlayStation announcement does not offer PlayStation Plus access. Check the actual game listing in your subscription library before buying, but do not subscribe solely on the assumption that this launch is included.
No console preload schedule was confirmed. Check the installation size shown by your console when downloads become available. Steam’s 5 GB available-space requirement belongs to the computer version and should not be copied into a PS5 or Xbox download claim. Leave room for the actual console installation and any launch update once the store displays them.
The Mac listing explicitly requires an Apple processor, so owning an Intel Mac does not meet the published specification. Steam does not provide a fuller recommended configuration beyond processor and operating-system architecture requirements. These minimums are compatibility guidance, not a promise of a particular resolution, frame rate or smoothness on every machine.
There is a useful free-content distinction for computer players. Hozy: Hideaways is a free Steam DLC requiring the paid base game. Its three locations, Chic Condo, Tech Studio and Greenhouse, become accessible after the tutorial, and its furniture can be used in Sandbox. The publisher confirmed the Mac DLC release on October 1, after an earlier delay. The checked console announcement does not explicitly settle whether Hideaways is included at console launch.
Hozy looks best suited to players who enjoy small-scale cleaning and decorating without competitive pressure. Xbox Play Anywhere is a practical advantage if you regularly move between an Xbox and a Windows PC; PS5’s announced controller features may matter more if tactile feedback is the attraction. Neither advantage justifies rebuying automatically when your current version already does what you want.
