Scramble Knights Online enters Early Access on October 26, 2026, on PC and Xbox Series X|S. This is an evolving online adventure, not the finished release: choose your access route around the content available now and the friends you want to join.

The current Steam listing and Xbox’s showcase announcement agree on October 26. Older references to a broad fall window are superseded by those dated announcements. At the time checked early on October 26, Steam still showed the game as coming soon; a release date alone does not mean that downloading or playing is already possible in every region.
The developer says “10 AM PST”. Strictly, PST is 18:00 UTC; if it means Pacific Daylight Time, which is still in effect on October 26, the hour is 17:00 UTC. Until the developer clarifies, do not treat either conversion as the confirmed unlock hour.
For a group spread across Europe, the Americas and Asia, agree on the date as well as the hour. A late UTC launch can fall on October 27 in eastern Asia. Check the live storefront countdown and the developer’s current notice before arranging a fixed session, and allow time for each player’s download and account setup.

No priced deluxe edition or purchase bonus was verified. The developer rules out launch microtransactions; possible future cosmetic packs are not confirmed products.
Before purchasing for a friend, confirm their preferred storefront and whether they already have access. For a group, the lowest individual price is not the only consideration: everyone needs a usable version and a workable way to meet. Keep the purchase receipt and the precise product name so any later account or entitlement question is easier to resolve.
The Steam Early Access description estimates roughly five hours of unique content in the 1-Star area, which is fully playable at launch, with optional faction PvP in an early state. Funktronic Labs expects at least a year in Early Access. Its larger 1.0 experience is a development plan, not content included on day one or a guaranteed completion date.
Xbox describes an MMO-lite action RPG built around quests, dungeons, monsters and loot in the kingdom of Terracott. The loop is to venture out with friends, then return to improve equipment for another trip. That makes it a different proposition from buying a long, finished single-player campaign to complete over one weekend.
For returning demo players, the October 24 pre-launch patch is worth checking. It adds dungeons, lowers the level cap to 20 for now, and introduces a respec button whose cost rises with repeated use. Steam invitations now carry a version code to prevent players on mismatched versions joining each other. Update together before blaming a failed invitation on crossplay.

The launch FAQ confirms crossplay and four-member squads. This means joining other supported platforms, not necessarily sharing purchases or characters. Verify Steam-to-Xbox progress transfers before alternating between them.
The separate October 16 demo announcement says demo progress carries into the full game. Keep using the account on which you played the demo and check that your character appears before starting over. That announcement does not explain a Steam-demo-to-Xbox migration process, so do not read it as a promise of every possible cross-store transfer.
Xbox’s weekly release list marks the game as Xbox Play Anywhere. Microsoft’s program covers participating digital Xbox or Windows Store purchases across supported Xbox consoles and Windows devices, with progress following the same Microsoft account. It does not turn a Steam purchase into a Microsoft-store license. This is an ownership and save benefit, separate from the game’s multiplayer crossplay.
Our PEAK crossplay and cross-save guide explains another game’s version of that distinction. For this launch, settle three separate questions with your group: can you join each other, can you use the same character on another device, and does your purchase cover that device? One yes does not answer all three.
The Game Pass announcement lists cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC access for the named plans. The Xbox product listing also says online console multiplayer requires a subscription, but its text still uses an older plan name. Check the current multiplayer entitlement shown for your account rather than relying on that legacy label or assuming a standalone purchase includes it.
If you already subscribe, try the included version before paying again solely because friends are buying copies. If you do not subscribe, compare the cost and purpose of the membership with buying the game. A plan that makes sense for someone playing several games may not be the best choice for someone interested only in this one.
Linux requirements name Ubuntu 22.04 or newer at minimum and 24.04 or newer recommended, with Vulkan graphics. Broadband is required, and Steam discloses kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat. No Mac version is listed. Check the requirements for your actual operating system; the Windows storage figure is not the Linux figure or a verified Xbox download size.
No universal preload timetable or final console installation size was verified. Use your device’s current download screen, leave space for updates, and avoid scheduling the first group session immediately after the expected unlock. A specification list also cannot tell you how launch servers will behave under load or guarantee a particular experience on your individual PC.

This is most appealing to a small group that wants to explore an online RPG together and is comfortable returning as it develops. The practical reason to join now is enjoying the current quests with those friends, not securing access to a promised future amount of content. If your group cannot tolerate interrupted sessions or changing balance, wait for launch reports and follow-up patches.
This guide uses official information, not hands-on testing. Server capacity, regional connection quality, controller feel and the pace of updates remain untested here. Before committing several evenings, make the first session a short check that everyone can connect, find their character and join the same activity.
