Stellar Blade Complete Edition brings EVE’s single-player action adventure to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026, with the NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE collaborations included. The practical choice is between a digital download and a physical cartridge, not between buying the base game and adding those two DLC packs. Existing PS5 and PC players should check the free Bayonetta update before paying for another copy.

SHIFT UP schedules launch for 07:00 PST / 15:00 GMT on November 5, or midnight November 6 in Japan and South Korea. The date changes because of time zones.
A release-day badge is less precise than that schedule: Nintendo Australia already displayed “Out now!” when checked before the stated unlock. Treat the publisher’s time as the announced plan, then confirm availability on your own console. The separate SteelBook promotion displays November 6; anyone ordering a physical package should check its local delivery date rather than expect the digital unlock to determine arrival.

SHIFT UP’s announcement also lists the Stargazer Suit for EVE, Stargazer Wear for Adam, Stargazer Coat for Lily, Half-Rim Glasses, Quadruple Rectangle Earrings, a Stargazer Pack for the drone, 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold. Choose physical or digital based on how you want to own and access the game; the two advertised collaborations are already included either way.
You play EVE, a soldier returning from a space colony to an Earth overrun by the Naytiba. The appeal is a story-led action game built around combat, abilities and large enemy encounters, rather than a cooperative campaign. Nintendo lists one player, so a friend’s copy is not a route to local two-player play.
Nintendo’s September Direct announcement highlights Joy-Con 2 motion input for selected non-combat activities, including fishing. The UK product page lists TV, tabletop and handheld play, touch-screen features and HDR on a compatible TV. These are supported features, not measurements of image quality or control response. Try the available demo in the mode you expect to use most, especially if portable play is the reason to switch versions.

Preorder rewards are early cosmetic unlocks: Classic Round Glasses, Ear Armour Earrings and the Planet Diving Suit (White Edition) for EVE. Nintendo’s UK bonus page sets the cutoff at 15:59 CET on November 5, or 14:59 UTC; its Australian listing gives the equivalent 01:59 AEDT on November 6. Check the offer shown for your account before purchase. An early item unlock is not an early start to the full game.
Nintendo Australia identifies Save Data Cloud as the supported Nintendo Switch Online feature and says a paid membership is required for that backup service. The listing sells the game separately; a cloud-save badge is not an offer of the full game through a subscription. Do not add a membership simply because the store displays its logo. Decide whether the backup feature itself is useful to you.
Nintendo’s live UK and Australian pages both list 25.3 GB at this check. Use the current console download screen for the final space requirement and leave room for updates rather than filling storage to the last megabyte. Downloading ahead of time, where offered by your regional eShop, does not make the game playable before its unlock.
If you need extra software storage, Nintendo Switch 2 requires microSD Express; an ordinary microSD card from the original Switch cannot serve that purpose. Nintendo says save data remains in system memory rather than on the expansion card. Copying a card is therefore not a way to move a campaign save. The first use of microSD Express also requires a system update over the internet.
These are the published requirements for the existing PC edition, not the new Nintendo download. Steam lists both the base game and a Complete Edition, so compare the contents of the specific package rather than assuming every Stellar Blade listing includes the same extras. Owning another platform’s release is not evidence of a free Nintendo license. No cross-save or demo-progress transfer promise was established in the Switch 2 sources checked for this guide.

If you are choosing between the major Switch 2 launches this week, our Ocarina of Time launch guide covers that game’s separate pricing and storage questions.
For a newcomer who wants to play away from a television, the Nintendo package is easy to understand: one purchase covers the game and the two advertised collaboration DLCs. The choice should turn on how much you value that hardware and whether the demo feels comfortable, not the number of cosmetic items in the bundle. A collector can reasonably prefer the cartridge, but extra packaging is worth only what it adds for that person.
For someone already happy with the PS5 or PC version, the case for paying again is narrower. Decide whether a different way to play is worth a separate purchase, and do not treat platform marketing as proof of an upgrade. This guide is based on official listings, not hands-on testing. It does not establish sustained frame rate, input latency, battery life, final patch size or save compatibility; wait for those answers if they would change your decision.
