Loftia opens its floating-island life sim to paying players on November 3, 2026, with Early Access scheduled for 18:00 UTC. The important buying distinction is that this is an online-only game with a one-time entry price and optional cosmetic purchases, so playing alone still requires an internet connection.

Qloud Games specifies November 3 at 1 p.m. EST. That converts to 10 a.m. PST, 18:00 UTC and GMT, and 19:00 CET on November 3; players in Japan reach the same moment at 3 a.m. JST on November 4, and Sydney at 5 a.m. AEDT. These are conversions of one announced opening time, not separate regional launches.
At our November 3 prelaunch check, Steam still described the game as unavailable and Epic showed Coming Soon. The official launch plan covers both stores, but an announcement is not confirmation that every checkout or server has opened. If your store still shows a wishlist button around the scheduled time, refresh its listing and check the developer’s latest announcement before troubleshooting your account.

The publisher’s announced launch prices are US$24.89 against a US$29.99 base price, £22.40 against £26.99 in the UK, and €24.06 against €28.99 in the EU. Those are the announced 17% introductory offers, not a checkout price we could verify before unlock. Regional prices can differ, and the reviewed announcement does not provide the offer’s closing timestamp.
There are also optional in-game purchases. Qloud Games lists Backer Boutique cosmetics at US$2–$4 per item and up to US$8 for a complete outfit bundle, with regional pricing. The Community Pass adds cosmetic rewards to World Projects; the developer says those rewards do not expire and can be unlocked after a project finishes. Check the pass’s displayed price, which we could not verify, rather than assuming it comes with an edition.
There is little reason to decide your cosmetic budget before you have played. See which activities and decorating options you enjoy first, then judge a specific item by its contents and price. A launch discount should not push you into a persistent online game you will only open once.
Steam describes a main story spanning four chapters across Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens and Gridfall. That gives the paid release a broader route than the opening-city demo. The developer targets roughly a year in Early Access, but that is an estimate; the full release date depends on development and community feedback.
The October 26 developer update adds practical detail: fishing with a Collector Rod, pets, underground Urbex exploration, more decorations and proficiency progression beyond the demo’s level-five cap. Bounce Shoes, a Glider Propeller and rail boots expand movement. Community farming, renewable-energy systems and larger World Projects give groups shared goals alongside their own homes.
Steam describes Adventures as group quests built around puzzles and exploration, and the official descriptions we reviewed do not mention combat. That makes the basic purchase decision fairly specific: do you want to gather, build and spend time in a shared world, or are you looking for combat and a conventional raid ladder? Do not buy it merely because the MMO label matches another game you enjoy.

The Steam Next Fest demo ran from October 19–26, so its old download announcements should not be read as a current free-play offer. Qloud Games says completed quests, collected items and character progression carry into Early Access. Its Next Fest announcement also asks demo players to link their email address and claim the demo reward on the Loftia website so the reward is saved to their account for Early Access.
Use the same linked account when returning and check your existing character before starting over. A demo character name can be released for somebody else to claim if its owner does not log into Early Access during the November 3, 2026–February 3, 2027 window. This is a character-name reservation rule, not a stated deadline for deleting the whole account.
Loftia has no recurring subscription to play, according to its FAQ. The reviewed launch sources do not announce Game Pass or another subscription catalogue route, so budget for the game purchase rather than assuming an existing membership covers it. For a different PC MMO payment model, our World of Warcraft: Forever access guide explains that launch’s requirements.
Steam lists the following Windows requirements. Both tiers require broadband internet; the 10 GB figure is required available storage, not a verified download size. We found no confirmed preload schedule in the reviewed launch notices, so leave room for downloading and setup rather than planning to play at the exact opening minute.
Mac buyers need to be more careful than the platform badge suggests. Steam specifies macOS 14.5 Sonoma, an Apple M2 chip and 8 GB RAM at minimum; it recommends macOS 15 Sequoia, M2 Pro and 16 GB. Intel Macs are explicitly unsupported. The notes recommend active cooling and warn that MacBook Air users may need lower settings and resolution; on an 8 GB system, close other applications.
The Epic listing we checked disagrees with Steam: it shows a Windows minimum of 6 GB RAM, a GTX 950 and 8 GB storage. The sources do not explain that difference. Use the clearly identified Steam figures above as the more demanding planning reference, and ask official support before buying if your machine meets only Epic’s lower listing.
Qloud Games says Loftia supports controllers and Steam Deck, but we could not verify a Valve compatibility rating in the listing we checked. Developer support is not the same as Valve’s Verified rating or a measured performance result. If the Deck is your only machine, wait for launch-build testing that covers frame rate, text legibility, controls and busy shared areas.

The announced US$24.89 offer is a reasonable entry point if you already liked the demo’s gathering, decorating and social routine and accept Early Access uncertainty. Buy the base game first. Wait if you need offline play, guaranteed handheld performance or a finished set of social systems; none of those concerns is solved by an introductory discount.
This guide is based on official launch information, not hands-on testing. We cannot yet judge launch-server reliability, the long-term pace of progression or how performance holds up in crowded districts. Check current launch reports before committing an evening with friends, especially if somebody is buying solely to join the group.
