The Séance of Blake Manor brings its detective mystery to consoles on October 27, 2026, with Nintendo Australia listing October 28. Choose by storefront and subscription first: the Steam editions and Microsoft ownership options are not interchangeable.

This is a console launch, not the first release of the game. Steam dates the original PC version to October 27, 2025.
Xbox’s October 23 schedule reconfirms October 27 for the forthcoming Xbox release. No separate early-access window or preorder bonus was confirmed in the launch sources checked for this guide.
The US PlayStation Store gives October 27 at 15:00 UTC: 8 a.m. in Los Angeles, 11 a.m. in New York, 3 p.m. in London, 4 p.m. in Berlin and 7 p.m. in Dubai. That same moment is midnight on October 28 in Tokyo. These conversions apply to that US PS5 listing, not a verified worldwide unlock across every store.
Nintendo’s Australian page says October 28 without an exact unlock time. Treat that as a regional listing difference, not proof of a delay: check your own eShop region before planning an evening around launch. The checked Xbox listing did not establish a precise unlock hour.

For most players, the base game is the sensible comparison point. Spend the extra only if you want the music and artwork themselves, rather than treating the more expensive label as the default choice. There is no reason to let a small price difference decide whether you actually want those extras.
The digital artbook contains more than 80 pages and explicitly warns about spoilers. Its own listing recommends reading it after finishing the game. If you choose Deluxe, leave the artbook closed while solving the mystery; having access to an extra does not make it a good starting point.
These are verified Steam choices, not a promised console edition lineup. Console digital prices and a console Deluxe option were not confirmed in the checked listings. Separately, the developer has announced a physical Lost in Cult EDITIONS collector's bundle for PS5 and Switch 2, without a date or price. Compare the actual product description on your chosen console before assuming that the PC bundle contents carry over.
Private investigator Declan Ward searches for missing Evelyn Deane in 1897 Ireland. Guests are gathering at a remote manor for a Grand Séance, and the investigation combines first-person exploration, interviews, evidence and deductions. Actions advance time, while characters follow schedules and events can be missed.
That makes attention the important buying consideration. If you enjoy building a theory from conversations and revisiting an assumption when a clue contradicts it, the premise is a better fit than if you mainly want action between cutscenes. This is a description-based recommendation, not a judgment on the quality of the finished puzzles.
The Steam demo offers the first two playable in-game hours, not a guaranteed two hours of real-world play. It introduces interrogation and deduction through an opening mystery, a small portion of the grounds and an environmental puzzle. Use it to judge whether the investigative routine appeals to you; it cannot establish how the new console ports perform.

Microsoft lists October 27 availability through Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass, with cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC named in the announcement. PC Game Pass is the PC route; do not interpret the three named plans as identical device entitlements. Game Pass Essential is not among the listed tiers. Check your plan and local cloud availability rather than assuming every option works everywhere.
The Xbox product page also carries Xbox Play Anywhere. This is particularly relevant if your decision is between a Microsoft PC copy and an Xbox console copy.
For an eligible digital purchase through Xbox or the Windows Store, Play Anywhere covers supported Xbox, Windows PC and Windows handheld play using the same Microsoft account. Supported saves, achievements and add-ons carry between those devices. The policy is digital-only and permits play on one device at a time. It does not turn a Steam purchase into an Xbox purchase.
Subscription access and a purchase solve different problems. If you already have an eligible plan, check that route before paying separately. If you want to choose where your purchased license sits, decide which account and devices you intend to use before comparing prices. Do not buy a second copy merely because the same title appears in two storefronts.
Nintendo Australia estimates a 2.1 GB download and lists TV, tabletop and handheld play. Save Data Cloud requires Nintendo Switch Online; that cloud-backup requirement is not a requirement to play the game offline. A confirmed preload schedule and verified PS5 or Xbox installation sizes were not available in the checked launch material.
Those are Steam’s Windows requirements, not verified requirements for the forthcoming Xbox PC version. They do not promise a particular resolution or frame rate. Steam lists English interface, audio and subtitles; factor that into a game built around reading and listening.

Start with the exact device name, then check the account region and edition. The announced console versions are PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2; the announcement does not list PS4, Xbox One or the original Switch. A familiar platform logo is not enough to establish compatibility.
For another narrative-game purchase where edition and ownership details matter, see The Wolf Among Us Remastered buying checks. The useful habit is the same: compare the license and included content, not just the cover art.
If you want a mystery for your existing console, the new versions offer a straightforward reason to revisit the game’s availability. But there is no need to preorder to make an informed decision. Players sensitive to performance, small text or control feel should wait for evidence from the specific console they own, rather than treating a PC screenshot as a port review.
The developer’s current support guidance offers one useful control detail: sigil input can change from continuous drawing to dot-to-dot clicking in the options. That is existing support guidance, not a control setting independently tested here on the unreleased console versions.
This guide is based on official listings and announcements, not hands-on play. It can help you avoid the wrong license or unnecessary extras; it cannot settle console performance, comfort or the quality of the mystery for you. Try the available PC demo if practical, or wait for platform-specific impressions if those questions determine your purchase.
