Patch 1.3.3 brings Sett and Samira to 2XKO, Riot's tag-team fighting game, for free on 27 October. It is Riot's final major content update, not a server shutdown: online play is set to continue beyond 2026.

Offline The Climb runs do not progress cosmetic-unlock quests. Casual leaderboards use Leaderboard Points (LP). Players with 2,900 or more LP appear on the lobby leaderboard. If nobody in the lobby reaches 2,900 LP, it shows win streaks. LP decay is planned but is not live with 1.3.3. Find Match prioritises speed; joining through Training Mode at a cabinet prioritises fairness. Both use the same queue; neither guarantees instant, evenly matched fights.

Sett's developers describe a character built around heavy chain throws and Haymaker, rather than a demanding technical barrier. More advanced links and combos exist, but Riot says they are not the starting requirement. That makes him a sensible first experiment if close-range grabs sound more appealing than learning an elaborate route immediately. This describes his intended design, not a claim that he is easy to win with.
Samira's Style Gauge rewards using a variety of specials instead of repeating one familiar combo. Riot describes her as stronger when directly fighting on point, with fewer tools for helping a teammate through assists. If you want to experiment with different routes, she offers a clear starting idea. Try changing one part of a sequence and watching what happens to the gauge. Do not read the developers' enthusiasm as a tier-list result: her best teams, dependable routes and place in competitive play need player testing.

The Climb is a player-versus-environment mode against computer-controlled champions. After a fight, choose the next challenge from a branching path of nodes. Some challenges award Augments that strengthen your team; Campfire nodes let you rest and manage them. It offers a structured alternative to practising isolated moves, with decisions between matches as well as during them.

Local Duo lets two people share one PC or console. The host enters an available lobby cabinet, then the guest joins at Champion Select. On PC, the guest can use their input device without a separate login. On PS5, the guest needs a PSN account, but not PlayStation Plus. Xbox Series X|S permits a guest account or the player's own Xbox account. On consoles, select the platform profile with the Home button before joining.
Only the host's collection is available, even if the guest has a separate Riot account with different cosmetics. Agree whose account will host before planning outfits or other collection choices. Returning to the lobby ends the Local Duo session, so the guest must join again for another session. Configure both controllers before starting to avoid spending your first match correcting inputs.
Riot's detailed refund guidance covers KO Points and Starter Edition purchases before 20 August 2026. Check your account email for details. PC refunds generally return to the original payment method; consoles use their platform procedures. Prepaid purchases can follow another route. Japan and Korea have local processes and notices.
Bought on 20 August itself? Riot's overview says on or before that date, but its detailed guidance says before. Check your account email or ask support before assuming eligibility.
The optional Ultimate Bundle is a cosmetics purchase. Riot lists $39.99 for North America, £33.99 for the UK and €39.99 for Europe. Check the current price and item list for your region before paying. "Nearly all cosmetics" does not mean every item, and a large bundle is only worthwhile if you actually want what it contains. There is no need to buy it just because you are returning. For a separate look at cosmetic reissues, our Overwatch Unvaulted Battle Passes guide covers what returns and what is excluded there.
Riot says servers will remain available beyond 2026, while ongoing new content and planned patches end after 2026. Ranked lobbies and Battle Pass progression were removed in September; this update should not be mistaken for a fresh live-service commitment. Play because the existing game interests you, rather than buying on the assumption of future seasons. An open-ended server commitment is also not a promise that online play will last forever.
The newer October roadmap schedules communications to end on 6 November, targets a minor balance and bug-fix patch for 12 November, and leaves an early-December patch optional. Older support guidance describes a firmer December patch plan. The reviewed announcements do not establish an exact rollout time. This guide has not tested the patch, server conditions or either fighter's balance.
