EA Classics brings 25 older PC games to Steam, alongside GOG and the EA app, with seven restored Anniversary Editions and 18 faithful ports. Before paying, check your existing library: eligible digital Wing Commander owners receive the corresponding upgrade free on their original platform. The launch sale runs through November 19, 2026, but restoration features and technical requirements differ by title.

The seven restored releases are listed below. Their changes include community fixes, improved controls and restored full-motion video where applicable; the remaining catalogue should not be mistaken for 18 additional remasters.
The 18 faithful ports include Wing Commander: Privateer, Wing Commander: Academy, Wing Commander: Armada, Strike Commander, Theme Hospital, Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret. The RPG lineup contains Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness, Ultima II: The Revenge of the Enchantress, Ultima III: Exodus, Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar, Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny, Ultima VI: The False Prophet, Ultima VII: The Complete Edition, Ultima VIII Gold Edition and Ultima IX: Ascension. It also includes Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss and Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds.
EA’s offer covers previously owned digital Wing Commander games on GOG or the EA app, with upgrades supplied on the respective platform. GOG says the corresponding Anniversary Pack should already be in an eligible owner’s library. Sign into the account that owns the original copy and inspect its available editions before adding anything to your basket.
Privateer 2 deserves a separate check: its GOG product page explicitly says owners of the legacy version receive the Anniversary Edition. GOG’s Anniversary packages include the updated and original Legacy builds, while the Legacy editions are no longer sold individually. That packaging policy is specific to GOG; inspect the contents of another storefront’s listing instead of assuming it is identical.
As checked on November 7, Steam lists both Road Rash and Wing Commander Prophecy at US$4.99 each, down from US$9.99. The corresponding UK prices are £4.49 from £8.99, and German prices are €4.99 from €9.99. These are observed regional prices for those two products, not currency conversions or a promise that all 25 games cost the same.
EA dates the Steam and GOG promotion November 5–19. Check the local store’s countdown and final price rather than assuming the offer lasts until midnight where you live. Steam also advertises a Wing Commander bundle; compare its actual basket against the few titles you want, particularly if you already qualify for free upgrades elsewhere.

The restorations combine older games with recovered footage and community work. EA describes over 1,000 restored cinematic scenes across Wing Commander III and IV, with further footage recovered for Prophecy and Privateer 2. Optional upscaling is separate from the source-master restoration, so a preference for historical presentation does not automatically rule out the new editions.
Road Rash makes that choice explicit. In the Restroom menu, open Graphics and Sound and, under Videos, choose the original footage, high-resolution master footage, AI-upscaled footage or no videos. Its rock music can now play during races, while the original MIDI racing music remains selectable. Check these settings before deciding that the updated presentation cannot reproduce the version you remember.
Old release dates do not guarantee tiny downloads. Steam lists 4GB available storage for Road Rash and 20GB for Wing Commander Prophecy. Road Rash’s minimum includes Windows 10 or 11, a 1GHz dual-core Intel or AMD processor, 2GB RAM and DirectX 9-compatible graphics with 128MB VRAM. Prophecy lists Windows 10, a 1.8GHz processor, 2GB RAM and DirectX 9.0c-compatible graphics. Check your selected store’s requirements, because installation packages can differ.
The Road Rash team confirms that there is no autosave: save manually through the Restroom menu. Cloud saves synchronize saved progress between devices; they do not create a save you never made. The original modem and internet multiplayer service remains closed, although legacy Mano a Mano LAN play is retained with hardware and software compatibility caveats.
Road Rash is described as Steam Deck Playable, with some menus needing virtual-keyboard input. The developer also warns that the game may still occasionally crash on Steam Deck after an FMV. Check other games individually rather than applying Road Rash’s handheld rating to the whole catalogue.

This guide uses official announcements, listings and developer notes; we have not tested all 25 releases. It cannot certify every controller, mod, save transfer or handheld configuration. Existing owners should try their included upgrade first; new buyers who need a particular setup should check current support information before paying.
