PIT OF GOBLIN reaches version 1.0 on November 3, 2026, bringing six-player online co-op and crossplay between PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The update also rewards Early Access owners with cosmetics. If an older store description still says four players, the developer’s October 31 announcement and current console feature lists explain the change.

Some storefront prose has not caught up with the launch feature list. The Xbox page still mentions three goblin buddies in its description, yet its capabilities explicitly list online co-op for two to six. PlayStation also lists support for six online players. Friendly Foe’s newer announcement says the limit increases from four to six with 1.0, so the smaller number describes the earlier setup rather than the advertised full-release limit.
That distinction matters for returning groups: an older installed build is not evidence that the new capacity is broken. Before gathering six people, let everyone update and confirm that they are running the release build. Do not assume a demo or an old Early Access session will behave exactly like the new version.

The October 31 developer post explicitly names PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 as able to play together. This is stronger evidence than a generic multiplayer badge. It does not, however, establish cross-platform save transfer, shared cosmetic ownership or a single purchase that grants copies in every store.
Agree on who will host, how you will communicate and which version each friend owns before buying anything. A friend on another platform should not need to change platforms solely because an older description lacks the crossplay announcement, but wait for the actual launch interface before assuming a particular invitation method.
The core loop is a survival-extraction dungeon crawl: bring food and valuables out of dangerous areas, then decide what to consume, sell or deliver to the King Queen. The Xbox description identifies proximity voice chat, traps and friendly fire among the features. A larger party can make coordination more important, because extra teammates also create more opportunities for confusion.
The September 1.0 announcement adds magic books, each teaching a school of magic. The October environment preview focuses on The Undergrowth and The Great Library, with new traps and surprises rather than a complete map-by-map walkthrough. For existing players, learning those spaces together is a clearer reason to return than expecting every previously requested feature to arrive at once.

Friendly Foe’s October 24 notice promises five accessory items to people who owned the game during Early Access: Leather Gloves, Leather Shoulderpads and three Sidepack & Belt variations. The developer says eligible players receive them when 1.0 launches. They are described as cosmetics, not a separate campaign or a paid upgrade needed for the new multiplayer features.
Use the account that owns your existing copy and check the updated customization options after release. The notice does not establish that a new console purchase inherits a Steam owner’s eligibility, nor does it give a universal cutoff hour for last-minute buyers. Do not purchase another copy merely to chase a reward whose account eligibility you have not confirmed.

Xbox Wire’s October 30 release schedule lists PIT OF GOBLIN for November 3 with Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere. The Spanish Xbox product page currently shows upcoming inclusion with Premium, PC Game Pass and Ultimate. Treat that as the checked regional offer, and confirm inclusion on your own account and device rather than assuming every subscription or territory is identical.
Console online access is a separate requirement. The Xbox listing names Essential, Premium or Ultimate for console multiplayer, while PlayStation lists PS Plus for online play. Essential appearing in an online-access notice does not mean the game is included in that plan. Our GRAVHOUNDS Game Pass and co-op guide explains a similar distinction between owning software and having permission to play it online.
At the November 2 check, the US Steam store showed $4.19 instead of $5.99, a 30% promotion displayed as ending November 9. That is a current PC offer, not a confirmed console launch price. The PlayStation page checked remained an announced product without a purchase price, so compare the actual local offer when it becomes available.
The announced date is November 3, but a date alone is not a worldwide unlock timetable. Players in Europe, the Americas and Asia should use their own storefront’s download status before scheduling a group session. A countdown displayed in one territory should not be treated as a promise that every version becomes available at the same instant.
Version 1.0 is an update milestone, not proof that every session will be stable or every platform will perform identically. This article is based on official announcements and storefront information, not hands-on testing. Matchmaking reliability, cross-platform invitation behavior and the handling of existing saves should be checked against the release build and its final notes.
For a group already interested in the game, the announced larger parties and crossplay remove two specific barriers to playing together. For someone still unsure about the mix of horror, looting and chaotic cooperation, waiting for launch footage is reasonable. A low PC price or a cosmetic reward should not decide whether that style of game suits your group.
