Xbox's Halloween Free Play Days has two access rules: four games require an eligible Game Pass membership, while Dead by Daylight is available to all Xbox console players. Check the game-specific deadline and device before downloading; temporary access is not a permanent free copy.

Xbox Wire lists October 28 and October 29 in different passages as Dead by Daylight's start date. Both give November 2 as the end date; neither states an exact cutoff hour.
For players in Europe, the Americas or Asia, a calendar date without a time zone is not enough to calculate a reliable local cutoff. Do not assume midnight where you live, and avoid scheduling your only session for the last possible hour. Check the live store entitlement before setting aside time for a large download.
PC participation here does not mean every PC storefront supplies the same offer. Use the Microsoft/Xbox listing for the named PC participants rather than expecting a Steam installation to inherit an Xbox trial. The game screenshots in this guide illustrate the titles, not a separate Steam free-weekend entitlement.

The Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2 store pages show cloud-play notices requiring a purchase as well as an eligible subscription. That is a reason to distinguish installing a weekend trial from streaming a game you own, rather than assuming a cloud badge grants the event through every device.
Dead by Daylight's normal store page also displays a paid-membership requirement for console multiplayer. The dated event announcement explicitly describes its console trial as available without Game Pass, which is the relevant temporary offer; the normal product text is not a reason to buy a subscription automatically. If access fails, check the event entry and your signed-in account first.
The UK Xbox listings checked on October 31 showed WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers at £31.49, Spirittea at £8.37 and EVERSPACE 2 at £8.99. Darkwood was listed at £12.99 without a displayed reduction. These are product-page observations, not a promise that every participating game is discounted.
For a US comparison, Dead by Daylight's standard listing showed $11.99, reduced from $29.99. The same page also offered editions with different add-on contents. Decide whether you want the base game before comparing a larger bundle, and check your own region's final price rather than converting another country's advertised amount.
Trial deadlines and sale deadlines are different decisions. A discount may still be visible when free access ends, or an edition may have its own offer terms. Read the purchase page at checkout; there is no need to buy a bundle merely to preserve the option of playing later.

Xbox's Free Play Days guidance says buying a game lets you continue playing while retaining earned Gamerscore and achievements. For an actual checkpoint, keep using the same account and check the game's own save status before leaving. Do not assume that a trial save will transfer to a different storefront or unrelated platform version.
The Football Manager 27 free-preview guide covers another temporary-access offer with its own rules. Use that same distinction here: the permission to launch, the location of your save and a later purchase are separate things to verify.
The reviewed announcement does not supply one precise worldwide cutoff, an exhaustive regional availability list or a promise that every expansion is playable. This guide also does not benchmark the games or claim hands-on trial testing. Use the weekend to answer your own buying questions about controls, performance and whether the opening hours hold your interest.
