The Blood of Dawnwalker 1.1 arrived on 22 October 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, adding respec and assisted Story difficulty. The old Story setting is now Forgiving.

Draught of Mind Rebirth resets learned Swordmastery, Witchcraft and Vampirism abilities, so the time spent learning them can go into a different set. Other changes include larger subtitles, subtitles for all dialogue, combat camera and targeting adjustments, and more responsive Shadowstep and Planeshift targeting.
Start with the obstacle: combat options address how you handle a fight; build planning addresses which abilities you intend to use. Check the former before committing to the latter.

The Skills & Power bulletin describes Swordmastery as usable day or night, Witchcraft during daylight, and Vampirism at night. One experience bar and one kind of skill point serve all three trees. Learning or upgrading abilities also costs time.
Swordmastery requires manuals found in the world or sold by fencers. Witchcraft manuals can be found in ruins and haunted places or obtained from practitioners. Vampirism unlocks through corruption gained by feeding. Witchcraft includes crowd control, damage over time, buffs and debuffs; vampiric powers draw on health and corruption.
Plan a daytime and nighttime answer to your main obstacle. Read ability descriptions and prerequisites first. An unavailable ability cannot complete your intended setup.

The Swordmastery bulletin describes omniblocks and omniattacks that automatically select directions, as an alternative to fully manual directional combat. These are existing design choices, not features to attribute automatically to this update. The developer emphasizes positioning, timing and commitment, with attacks built from windup, anticipation and swing phases. Reading those phases can help distinguish trouble recognizing an attack from trouble choosing an input.
The same bulletin describes passive perks supporting defense and counterattacks, mobility or aggressive pressure. It also distinguishes short, long and great swords by feel and attack speed, with axes among the other available weapons. Those differences matter when choosing what to practice: changing the weapon and the controls together introduces two separate adjustments.
For a return session, consider keeping the weapon you already understand while checking directional assistance. If that makes the intended response easier to execute, there may be no reason to rebuild around a different attack style immediately. That is a practical recommendation, not a tested promise about the best weapon or difficulty.
The official 23 June 2025 gameplay reveal explained a 30-day rescue deadline. Narrative time advances at particular commitments, including quest progress and switching between day and night, rather than running continuously during real-world exploration. Activity hourglass icons show how much time completion will move the world forward. The reveal explicitly presented this separation as room to explore without a real-world countdown.
The demonstration also explained that successful blocks, attacks and parries build Activation Charges, which power Active Abilities. That is another reason to think beyond an isolated skill description: an ability sits inside a combat routine. These are explanations of the underlying game from the earlier reveal, not claims that update 1.1 newly adds the timer, exploration rules or charge system.

The current Steam listing specifies 16 GB RAM, an SSD and 60 GB of available storage. Its minimum graphics tier lists a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580, with 6 GB VRAM in the accompanying notes. The recommended tier names a GeForce RTX 4060, Radeon RX 7600 XT or Intel Arc B580 and notes 8 GB VRAM.
These are installation requirements, not download size. Check your launcher for the transfer. The listing does not establish frame rates at your resolution; this article does not benchmark the patch.
For another example of checking individual accessibility changes rather than treating a major update as one blanket fix, see the Saros Zenith accessibility explainer. The details belong to that game and should not be assumed to carry over here.
The cited notes do not specify Draught acquisition, price or existing-save restrictions. Check in-game before committing.
